Is XPEL CS ceramic?
No. CS is XPEL's dyed film for appearance, privacy, and glare reduction. If reducing heat through the glass is your main reason for tinting, compare XR Black and XR Plus ceramic films.
What is the difference between XR Black and XR Plus?
XR Black is a nano-ceramic film with up to 88% infrared heat rejection. XR Plus uses multi-layer ceramic technology with up to 98% infrared heat rejection. Those are infrared ratings, not percentages of total solar heat blocked or cabin-temperature reduction.
Is XR Plus worth it in Orange County?
It is worth comparing if you spend a lot of time driving in the sun or want the highest infrared rejection of these film options. Large windshields and panoramic glass can make heat especially noticeable. We can quote XR Black and XR Plus for the same windows so you can decide.
