Film & Performance
Ceramic film questions
What brand of window tint do you use?
We are an authorized dealer of XPEL and exclusively install XPEL automotive window film. We offer XPEL CS, XPEL XR Black, and XPEL XR Plus. All installations include a lifetime warranty on both film and labor.
Is ceramic window tint worth it?
Yes. Ceramic tint significantly reduces heat and UV exposure without interfering with electronics. It provides superior clarity and long-term performance compared to dyed films.
How much heat does ceramic tint block?
Depending on the film selected, ceramic tint provides up to 99% UV protection and up to 98% infrared heat rejection. This helps keep your cabin cooler and protects leather and interior surfaces.
Do you offer windshield tint?
Yes. We install high-clarity ceramic windshield film to reduce heat and glare while maintaining optical clarity.
Legal & Install
Installation process questions
Is window tint legal in California?
California tint laws allow front side windows at 70% VLT, rear windows at any darkness, and the rear windshield at any darkness when the vehicle has dual side mirrors. We help customers choose legal or performance-based options depending on their goals.
How long does installation take?
Front two windows usually take about 45 to 60 minutes. A full vehicle is generally about 2 to 3 hours, depending on the vehicle, the number of windows, and the level of installation complexity.
How long does tint take to cure?
Average drying time is about 3 to 7 days, and it can take up to 2 weeks in colder weather. Small water bubbles are normal during curing.
Does your tint come with a warranty?
Yes. All XPEL film installed at OC House of Tint includes a lifetime manufacturer warranty and lifetime labor warranty with coverage against peeling, fading, bubbling, and discoloration.
