Appearance & Privacy
CS is a dyed film for a shaded appearance, more privacy, and less glare. Choose one of the ceramic films if heat rejection is your main reason for tinting.
Strong Heat Rejection
XR Black adds nano-ceramic heat rejection with a neutral appearance. Choose a lighter or darker look while keeping the benefits of ceramic heat rejection.
Higher Infrared Rejection
XR Plus is our premium multilayer ceramic option when infrared heat rejection matters most, especially across the Model Y’s larger glass areas.

The roof glass shown here has 5% XPEL ceramic film for a darker view and less overhead light. You do not need that shade to get ceramic heat rejection. Lighter options keep more daylight in the cabin; we can help you compare them if overhead heat or glare bothers you.

Ceramic film helps reject infrared heat beside the driver and front passenger. Choose the shade for the privacy and glare reduction you want, with attention to your view through the glass.
The Model Y’s darker rear glass provides privacy, but its color alone does not tell you how much infrared heat it rejects. A lighter ceramic film can add heat rejection while keeping more light in the rear cabin.
The broad rear window is another path for sunlight into the cabin. Ceramic tint can add heat rejection here, with careful fitting and edge work for a clean view from inside and outside.

Your finished result also depends on the existing glass and which windows receive film. The infrared figures listed for a film do not describe all solar heat, and they are not a percentage reduction in cabin temperature.

Sunlight also enters through the windshield, roof, and rear hatch. Those are separate tint options if heat through those areas bothers you.

The finishing details
On roll-down door windows, we shave the tint to follow the top edge of the glass. The result is a close, factory-style finish you can see when the window is lowered.
Computer-cut patterns help fit the film to your vehicle. Careful hand-finishing completes the visible edge.
